R. LaDell Harston passed away to his Heavenly Father's loving arms, May 4, 1996, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born on October 9, 1931, in View, Idaho to Richard and Anna Harston. LaDell spent most of his growing-up years in Logan. In November 1951, he was called to serve in the Western States Mission for the LDS Church. After he was released, he continued his education at Utah State University and then moved to Salt Lake City. On November 9, 1957, he married Dona Luasene Anderson, of Mt. Pleasant, in the Manti LDS Temple. He retired on May 31, 1995, as general manager of the White City Water Co. after 32 years of dedicated service. He was an active member of the LDS Church and a High Priest at the time of his death. He held numerous Church positions throughout his life.He is survived by his wife, Luasene, of Sandy; his children, LuAnn (Lance) Weaver, Dallas, Texas; Gary (Rebecca) Harston, Roy; Robyn (Mike) Van Houten, Mesquite, Nevada; Lisa (Patrick) Amundsen, Sandy; Steven Harston, West Valley City; Richard Harston, Sandy; Larry (Kim) Harston, Sandy; his parents, Richard George and Anna Woodbury Harston, Logan; his sisters, Shirley (Merrill) Millett, Sandy; Lynette (Sheldon) Heniger, Logan; Vivian (Bill) Allsop, West Jordan; Lorraine Harms, Danville, Calif.; Ruth (Julian) Martinez, Kennewick, Wash.; a brother, David (Jane) Harston, Logan; 14 grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Clyde and Jared.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Bellview Ward, 9501 Poppy Lane (945 East), Sandy. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 So. 1700 East and Thursday at the ward from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
