Ingeborg Ruth Waechtler Wells, 68, died June 13, 1996, at the McKay Dee Hospital.
She was born in Meissen, East Germany, September 4, 1927, to Johannes B. and Elizabeth Anna Hommel Waechtler. She married Lamont J. Wells, April 15, 1954, in the Logan LDS Temple.She was reared and educated in East Germany and escaped from there in 1951. she came to the United States in 1953 and lived in North Logan, Smithfield, Roosevelt and resided in Tremonton at the time of her death.
Inge had been a nurses aide, dialysis technician, police matron and mother. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served a full time mission with her spouse, and currently serving as a stake missionary.
Surviving are her husband, Lamont of Tremonton; and six sons and two daughters and their spouses, Richard and Denise Wells, Thatcher; Christine and Larry Holmes, Willard; Michael Wells, Tremonton; David and Alice Wells, Brigham City; Roger and LaDawn Wells, Bear River City; Douglas and Tamara Wells, Tremonton, Sabrina and Bill Laub, Willard; Rodny and Gina Wells, Riverside and 25 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Fritz, Hyrum, Rudolf, Karl, Elsa and Frieda, all of Germany. She was preceded in death by two sisters, and one brother, Elli, Dora and Gottfried and a daughter-in-law, Janet Wells.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 So. Tremont St., with Bishop James Pugsley, officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, June 16th from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 9:15-10:30 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 No. 100 East, Tremonton. Interment in the Willard Cemetery.
