Joseph Delbert (Deb) Marriott, 95, passed away peacefully at home June 2, 1996.

He was born on March 18, 1901 in Marriott, Utah to Rose Winifred Parry and Moroni Stewart Marriott. He was married to Edith Bartlett in 1919. They were later divorced. He married Helen Carlson Hall on August 14, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Deb was raised on his father's ranch in Marriott where he began his lifelong career as a sheep rancher. He attended Weber County schools and Weber Academy. He loved music, and played in several orchestras and musical groups throughout his life.

Survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Robert E. (Sarah) Marriott, Salt Lake; Roger H. (Willy) Marriott, Kaysville; daughters, Jolene (Eldon) Fontenot, Sandy; Kaye H. (Rollo) Peterson, Taylor; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one brother, Sherman Marriott, Portland, Oregon. Preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Joyce (Clarence) Brown, his grandson, David Brown.

Deb was a member of the Pleasant View 2nd Ward, a High Priest in the LDS Church and will be missed by all those who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at Pleasant View 2nd Ward, 250 West Elberta Drive on Thursday, June 6, 1996 at 11 a.m. with Bishop Terry Jones officiating. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and at the Pleasant View 2nd Ward Chapel on Thursday 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment: North Ogden Cemetery.
