Keith Arthur Banks, 73, of Salt Lake, former resident of Salem, died Sunday, July 7, 1996 at the Wasatch Villa Rehab Center in Salt Lake.
He was born November 9, 1922 in Salem, Utah, to Arthur Jarvis Banks and Tora Almira Duke Banks. He married Nellie Irene Fuelling Wayman on February 14, 1986 in Salt Lake City. He was educated in Palmyra and Spanish Fork schools. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He was also educated in carpentry at Utah Tech for two years. He has worked for Geneva Steel, Oak Crest Inn, and Spanish Fork City. He was a member of the Salt Lake Senior Citizens. He was a member of the Happy Go Lucky Harmonic Band and also a whistlers in a band. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dancing. He was a member of the LDS Church.Survivors include his wife, Nellie, of Salt Lake; stepchildren: Mrs. Larry (Bonnie) O Neil, of Salt Lake; Douglas Wayman, of Murray; Ken and Shawnee Wayman, of Holladay; Ron Wayman, of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Myrle Nelson, of Spanish Fork; Don L. Banks, of Sandy; Alene Gerber, of Sandy; Bernell C. Banks, of Spanish Fork. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Leslie Banks and a sister, Lucille Banks.
Funeral services Friday, July 12, 1996 at 1 p.m., Walker Mortuary Chapel, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday morning from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
