SAFFIRE Corp. has been rated 16th out of "100 Hottest New Small Businesses in America," according to the June issue of Entrepreneur Magazine.
Up from 20th in 1995, SAFFIRE is slated as "a rising star" that will continue to shine. The company began in 1993 with six employees and an initial investment of $700 from a previous venture. Now with 80 employees and new offices, the company is on track to deliver $4.6 million in revenues for 1996."The secret of our success is having fun and treating our employees fairly and equally," said general manager Hal Rushton. If you enjoy video games, then without knowing it you have probably played a game that SAFFIRE created.
SAFFIRE has generated the artwork for such games as: "Pitfall II," "Sea Wolf," "WWF Raw," "Mario's Time Machine," "Duke Nukem 3D," and "Enemy Nations."
The company is in the process of completing at least eight video game formats in 1996.
