James Mash, age 71, passed away July 14, 1996, peacefully following complications from a cerebral hemorrhage due to a malignant brain tumor.
Born October 7, 1924, in Murray, Utah, to Frank and Felicia Casciano Mash. He married his only sweetheart, Madelyn Kohler, on February 20, 1954, in Las Vegas, Nevada.He loved his family, his home and his garden. He was a Navy pilot, and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors: his wife of Murray; children, Becky (Don) Higginson of Poway, Calif.; Frank of Murray, Vincent (Stephanie) of West Jordan, Blake (Kim) of Murray; six grandchildren; special companion, his dog Nanki; brothers, Tony and Steven; sister, Mary Meredith.
Preceded in death by brothers, John, Joe and Dominick; and sister, Elaine Kelson.
Graveside services Wednesday, 2 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 So. Vine Street. Friends may call Wednesday, 12-1:45 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street.
