Juab County Commissioners have appointed Michael J. Seely as the new county administrative assistant.
"We were very impressed with his qualifications," said County Commission Chairman Gordon Young. Nine applicants were interviewed from a list of 29. Seely is a graduate of Southern Utah University with a degree in accounting. He also graduated from Mason City College of Auctioneering in 1988.He has been working for the Utah State Agency for Surplus Property Program as manager/director since 1993.
"I have a very good job with the state now and would not consider leaving except for a chance to permanently relocate my family to a more rural Utah setting," said Seely.
The local position offers approximately $40,000 per year.
Commissioners said Seely will oversee the operation of the landfill and the statehood centennial county theater remodeling project.
