Mary Mabel Kidwell Hackett died August 15, 1996, just one day before her 89th birthday.
She was born August 16, 1907, the oldest child of D.W. and Lena Kidwell in the Lambert Community near Weatherford, Texas.She married James Burley Hackett on June 4, 1927. They lived and farmed in Greer and Kiowa counties in Oklahoma. He died in 1983. She moved to Salt lake City, Utah in 1985.
She is survived by one daughter, Vivian Hohmann and her husband, Harold, Salt Lake City; three grandchildren; Deborah Hohmann, Christopher Hohmann and his wife, Erin, Salt Lake City; and Cynthia Mousner, Bryan, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Zachary Mousner, Bryan, Texas. She is also survived by three sisters and three brothers, Leona Spruce, McAlester, Oklahoma; Elsie Hamer, Salt Lake City; and Dorthy Garner and her husband, Bill, Midvale, Utah. Her brothers are, Hugh Kidwell and his wife, Mari, Canby, Oregon; Frank Kidwell and his wife, Audrey, Memphis, Tennessee; and Glandon Kidwell, Oakland, California.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters who died at birth; sisters, Viola Wuzzardo, Salt Lake City; and Jessie Maynard; and one brother, Bennett Kidwell, both residents of California.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, August 19, 1996, at 1 p.m. in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. Salt Lake Mortuary was Neil O'Donnell and Sons. The funeral will be conducted by People's Cooperative Funeral Home in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Granite, Oklahoma.
