Cory Jay Schow, 27, passed away August 19, 1996 at his home in Kearns, Utah.

Born November 22, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of James Calvin and Martha Rae Bailey Schow. Graduated from Kearns High School. Member of the LDS Church, where he served a stake mission and taught Primary. He was the recipient of the COLT Award from Cottonwood High, and an award for the most outstanding handicapped student. Voted first runner up for student of the year at the Jones Center. Worked for JTPA and won a trip to Hawaii for his outstanding work ethic. Employee of Blockbuster Video.Survived by his parents, Kearns; sisters, Stephany (Chad) Homer, West Valley City; Melloney (Dale) Robins, Scipio, Utah; grandmother, Nellie Bailey, Escalante, Utah; and his nieces and nephews, who idolized him, Jessica, Ryan, James, Josie, Trenton, Nicole, Brendan, Brady and Tara. Preceded in death by brothers, Calvin Clay, James Sheldon and Andrew Clive, sister, Janine.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at the Kearns East Stake Center, 4731 South 4300 West. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 12-12:45 p.m. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
