Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Gerald "Jerry" LeRoy Doman, age 58, passed away August 18, 1996 in Twin Butte, Alberta, Canada.
He was born Nov. 24, 1937 in Ontario, Oregon to Roy and Judy Doman. Married Marjory Hill on Feb. 1, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He graduated from Oregon State University and was an assistant football coach under Tommy Prothro, also an assistant coach at BYU under LaVell Edwards. He was a commercial real estate developer in Modesto, California and he was the owner-operator of several manufactured home developments in Idaho, Utah, and Arizona.
He passed away in the company of his family, serving and caring for his family as he had done so well throughout his life, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially his family. Jerry will be lovingly remembered for his strong hands, soft heart, and giant boots that he left behind, to be filled by his posterity.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years; four children, Steven Doman, Kim Doman Tripp, Robert Doman, and Kathy Doman; four grandchildren, Brittany Doman, Chad Tripp, Brock Doman, and Branden Doman; sister, Letha Steelman; brothers, Larry Doman and Ron Doman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996 at 10 a.m. in the Sandy Crescent 1st Ward Chapel, 116 East 11400 South, where friends may call 9-9:45 a.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Directors, Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
