James W. Seaman of West Valley City is among 96 young men from across the country who took part in the American Legion's Boys Nation.

Seaman is a senior at Granger High School and the son of John M. Seaman. His road to Boys Nations began this summer when he attended Utah Boys State at Weber State University, where he was elected circuit court judge.Boys Nation was held at Marymount University in Arlington, Va., in late July.

The nine-day event gave boys a chance to learn about government at the highest national levels. The boys learned about the rules of the U.S. Senate, visited major Washington landmarks and met with lawmakers and President Clinton.
