Betty "Nana" Mitchell, age 71, passed away on August 24, 1996.
Born August 11, 1925, in Ogden, Utah, to Henry W. and Mary J. Peterson. She married Bill Mitchell on September 12, 1946.Nana's life centered around being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was always there when needed and willing to help.
Survived by daughters, Bonnie VanValkenburg and Linda (Gary) Ryser; granddaughters, Kelly (Wesley) Taylor, Stephanie (Bruce) Cain, Kim (Scott) Dee, Wendy (Olaf) Questereit; great-grandchildren, Lacey, Morgan, Mitchell, Marissa, Jordan; brothers, Richard, Douglas, Jerry, Kenneth, West Valley City; sister, Mary Texas.
Preceded in death by husband, parents, three brothers, a sister, and son-in-law.

Friends and family may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Graveside services will be Tuesday, 12 noon at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 "N" Street.
