William Harold Stewart, age 87, died August 25, 1996 at Fillmore.

Born June 30, 1909 at Meadow, to Neil and Ada Stott Stewart. Married Belva E. Bushnell July 5, 1929 at Beaver. Later solemnized in Manti LDS Temple. Life long Meadow resident. Successful cattleman and farmer. Meadow mayor for 14 years. Millard County commissioner for 12 years. Active member LDS Church in many positions including two bishoprics, high councilman. Governor Scott Matheson appointee to State Fire Board. Will be missed by family and friends.Survived by sons and daughters: AlDean (Ina) Stewart, Tooele; Vern (Sue) Stewart, Meadow; Frances (Richard) O'Neal, LaVon (Dave) Schrimp, both Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Stewart, Tooele; 46 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; brother, Neil (Melba) Stewart, Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Ruth (Mel) Rappleye, Brigham City; Beulah Bushnell, Kaysville. Preceded in death by son, Kent, brother, Alvin.

Funeral services Thursday August 29, 1996, 1 p.m., Meadow LDS Ward. Friends call Thursday 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at church. Burial Meadow Cemetery under direction of Nickle Mortuary.
