John Steven Hiatt, age 50, passed away in Tooele, Utah on Sunday, August 26, 1996.

He was born April 4, 1946, in St. George, Utah to Edwin M. and Hannah Cynthia Carter Hiatt. He graduated from Dixie High School. He served in the Utah National Guard for six years. He lived in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Washington state, California and Nevada. Residing in Tooele for the past six years.He is survived by his sweetheart, Peggy Roth, Tooele; two sons, John Steven Brenay, Mesa, Ariz.; Richard Gary Hiatt, Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Miranda Jo Hiatt, Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, Brittney and Justin Brenay and Anthony Hiatt; parents, Edwin and Hannah Hiatt of St. George; five brothers, Edwin Jerry (LaJuana) of Crosby, Texas; Bruce (Sharon) of West Valley City; Lynn (Alice) of Washington, Utah; Ralph (Carolyn) of Sulpher Springs, Texas; Jim of West Valley City; one sister, LaDene (Raymond) Cluff of Washington, Utah. Many special friends, nieces and nephews.

Services for family and friends will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East, Salt Lake City. Services will also be held Friday, August 30, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the St. George East 9th Ward, 500 East 700 So., St. George, with a viewing one hour prior.
