Free screening for amblyopia, known as lazy eye, will be offered through the Davis County Health Department and elementary schools during September and October.

Screenings will be done by school nurses at elementary schools in the county, and parents of children 3 to 5 years old are encouraged to have their children screened.Amblyopia is poor vision in an eye that did not develop normal sight during early childhood. If caught early, the condition can be corrected.
