Lillis June Collard, age 71, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City, Utah.
She was born June 19, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gerald Temple Cartwright and Lillis Frances Regan. She married Gale W. Collard on April 10, 1954 in Elko, Nevada. They were later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were happily married for 42 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Collard.June was a loving wife, mother and housewife. She was a giving and generous person whose interest included sewing and needle work, cooking, baking and gardening. Many people received her quilts, baby blankets, and baked goods as gifts of love that she shared with others. The love, care and concern that she gave to her family and to others will be missed.
She is survived by her husband and two children, Robert Collard, Joplin, Missouri and Shaun Scott Collard, Los Angeles, California; and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 7, 1996, at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Stake Center, 3rd Ward LDS Chapel (100 East 400 South) in Cedar City, Utah.
