A teenage motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision on a state road at the base of Mount Timpanogos.
Killed was:Tyson Brent McDaniel, 17, American Fork.
McDaniel was riding northbound on U-146 in a no-passing zone when he passed a truck and collided with a southbound vehicle pulling a utility trailer, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
McDaniel was not wearing a helmet, the UHP said. Trooper Dave Rumfield investigated the accident.
The driver, Kent Yocom, Pleasant Grove, was uninjured. His daughter, Sandra, 11, suffered cuts and scrapes, according to the UHP.

The 10:50 a.m. accident occurred about one mile south of the east entrance to Cedar Hills.
