The folks that run Family Circle magazine have gone into the music business with BMG Classics, creating a series of classical-music collections for every home situation. Family Circle editor Susan Ungaro "really wants readers to know why it is a good thing to bring music into their homes," the magazine's Lisa Cooperstein told Inside Media. "This is a way for someone unfamiliar with classical music to become introduced to it."

The albums, which will be issued by RCA Victor, are named for the events they were created to go along with, including "Dinner Specials," "Weekday Soothers" and "Tunes for Workout." The liner notes include such relevant materials as a recipe for roast chicken Provencal in "Dinner Specials."Soon to be released are "Morning Favorites" and "Lullabies," says the media newsletter. "Music for a Bad Hair Day" was considered, then vetoed.
