A. Gretchen McNeely has been named dean of the St. Mark's-Westminster School of Nursing.

Stephen R. Baar, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty, announced the appointment, saying, "Given the changes in health care and health-care employment opportunities, we are fortunate to have someone with such a strong and diverse background to help the St. Mark's-Westminster School of Nursing move into the future."McNeely, a specialist in family and child nursing, has been serving as the assistant dean of the college of nursing at Montana State University. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society, and has been listed in the "Who's Who in American Nursing" for more than 10 years.

McNeely has a bachelor's degree from Biola University, a master's degree from Loma Linda University, and a doctorate in nursing science from the University of San Diego.
