Edgar Miles Pitcher, 81, passed away January 14, 1997 in Bennion, Utah.

Born July 23, 1915 in Boise, Idaho, son of James Edgar and Joanne Miles Pitcher. Married Venice Larson March 22, 1939 in the Logan LDS Temple.He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, served a very distinguished career with the Utah Highway Patrol which included State Training Director, pioneering the field of auto accident reconstruction nationally and achieving the rank of Captain. Joined Investigative team at Cornell University in Buffalo, New York, to do further research in accident construction.

Survived by his wife, Venice, Taylorsville; son, Jim Bailey, Colorado; daughter, Vickie, Roswell, Georgia; sons, Tom, South Jordan; and John, Taylorsville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan, and son, Eddie.

His family and friends wish him God's speed on his journey to live with his Heavenly Father and being surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 17, 1997, 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call one hour prior to services.

Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
