Midvale City Administrator Mike Siler has resigned because he wrote a letter on city stationery that made a sexual advance to a city employee.
City officials became aware of the letter Thursday night and asked Siler to resign. Siler, 50, initially considered fighting the allegation but decided to submit his resignation Monday. Two sources who spoke to the Deseret News about the reason for the resignation did not want to be named.
"I am not saying it is true or it isn't true," said Mayor J. Donald Poulsen. "I am not commenting."
Siler and Midvale city attorney Martin Pezely could not be reached for comment late Friday.
