LeeAnn Sims, age 45, was called home on January 3, 1997 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
LeeAnn was born May 8, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin and Joy Phillips of Taylorsville. Married Michael D. Sims on March 18, 1971 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. LeeAnn is a wonderful wife and mother and an example of love for all that knew her. She will be long remembered for her love of family and friends and for her ability to make a house a home. She was talented and creative, and enjoyed painting and decorating. As an active member of the LDS Church, she served faithfully in many callings and loved those she served. She had a love for life and her memory will be cherished always.Survived by her parents; husband; son, Ryan; daughters, Julee and Shantel; brother, Gene (Karen) Phillips; sister, Gayle (Brady) Wood.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 1887, 12 Noon, at the Taylorsville North Stake Center, 1250 W. 4325 S. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Monday evening 6-8 p.m., and at the Stake Center, 11-11:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Lakeview Memorial Estates, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
