Caroline Rebecca Rodgers Thompson passed away Jan. 4, 1997. On the other side to welcome her home are her husband, her mother, whom she has not seen for over 60 years, her father, eight brothers and a special nephew.
Born June 5, 1906 in Salt Lake City, UT to Daniel and Lula Williams Rodgers. Married Albert Thompson April 23, 1930. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Beckie was very talented in dramatic arts and attended the Pasadena Playhouse. She won many acting and directing awards while a member of The Salt Lake Theatre. Acted in and directed many radio productions - a favorite being "The Children's Friend of The Air" which was broadcast for over five years on KDYL. Was very active in productions for the LDS Church.Beckie will be remembered always for her love of life and a great sense of humor and because of this, acquired many lasting friendships.
Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and David Goodwill; four grandchildren, Kenton, Kimberli, Kristin and Kristopher; eight great-grandchildren, Tiffani, Joshua, Torilyn, Nichole, Ryan, Aaryn, Caitlan and Cassidee. Also her brothers, Louis and Brent Rodgers.
The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her at Wasatch Valley Rehabilitation.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, January 9, 1997 at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Rest Haven Section). Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and on Thursday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
