Briant John Atwood, age 25, died October 12, 1997 in an automobile accident near Laughlin, Nevada.
Born January 6, 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee, to Richard and Kathy Edmonds Atwood. Attended school in Centerville and Bountiful, Utah, Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from Elko High School in Nevada. Briant had recently moved from the San Francisco Bay area to Salt Lake City, Utah, and was an account executive for Baan Business Systems. He was active in sports including scuba diving, golf, water sports, volleyball and auto racing.Survived by his parents, Richard and Kathy Atwood, of Livermore, California; brothers, Troy Atwood, of Milipitas, California; Clark Atwood, of Phoenix, Arizona; grandmother, LuDeen Atwood, of Bountiful, Utah; and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 1997 at 12 noon at the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 Mueller Park Road, Bountiful. Friends and relatives may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Friday from 10:45-11:45 at the church prior to services. Interment in the Centerville City Cemetery.
