A casino and radio station turned to the archives of "WKRP in Cincinnati" for a Thanksgiving promotion - well, most of it.

WKRQ-FM and the Grand Victoria Casino and Resort in Rising Sun, Ind., simulated the television show's turkey drop on Wednesday, dropping 102 toy turkeys from a helicopter that can be exchanged for a real, frozen bird. The difference? In an episode of "WKRP," newsman Les Nessman gives shocked commentary as live turkeys are dropped to their deaths. Station officials were unaware that the birds cannot fly.

Richard Sanders, the actor who played Nessman in the 1980s sitcom, was on hand for the re-creation.
