James Jeffery Stewart, age 29 of Pleasant Grove, died Dec. 8, 1997 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

He was born March 23, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Boyd Sabey and Ruth Renee Price Stewart. Married Tiffany Zabriskie Aug. 30, 1997 in Highland, Utah.James graduated from Lehi High School and Seminary and was active in the FFA. He served an LDS mission in Arizona. He had worked at the University of Utah Police Department and was currently an officer with the American Fork Police Department. He was also a DRE Officer and a member of the SWAT team. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved his dogs.

Survived by his wife of Pleasant Grove; father, Boyd (Kathy) Stewart, Lehi; brother and sisters, Stephen (Lori) Stewart, Spanish Fork; Annette (Brent) Sanderson and Carolyn (Loney) Hutchinson, Lehi; parents-in-law, Joel and Ruby Zabriskie, Highland; grandmother, Ruth Price, Lehi; 15 nieces and nephews, five brothers-in-law, and six sisters-in-law. He was preceeded in death by his mother, Renee and a sister, Paula.

Funeral, Friday, Dec. 12, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi North LDS Stake Center, 851 No. 1200 East Friends may call at the Church, Thursday evening 6-9 p.m. and Friday 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial, Lehi City Cemetery under direction of Wing Mortuary, funeral directors.
