Pro Image Franchise, 563 W. 500 South, has purchased Prime Sports/Fan Fair franchises, owned by Frazier/King Merchandising Inc., Dallas, that will give the company 130 stores with $50 million in combined annual sales.
Dave Riley, Pro Image president, said the acquisition reinforces his company's position as the largest chain of franchised sports apparel retail shops in the world.Prime Sports/Fan Fair franchises are in Utah, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, Iowa, California, Florida, Colorado and Texas.
Riley said that as a result of the merger, Pro Image franchise buyers have positioned themselves to negotiate volume discounts with vendors. As a part of the Pro Image team, each franchise will be able to take advantage of the group buying power and be very competitive, he said.
The acquisition will not impact the employees in the retail stores.
