Gladys Jean Bridget Hindmarsh, age 64, died Sunday, December 14, 1997, at her daughter's home in Moroni, UT.
She was born August 25, 1933, in Niles, California, to Charles Richard and Vilda Sessions Bridget. Jean was active in the LDS Church and enjoyed bowling. She retired from Pizza Hut Inc. as manager for 30 years. Jean was a loving caring lady, who was always thinking of others. She was widely known as "Grandma Jean" to anyone. She had a deep compassion for people and was always helping someone; she did much fund raising for cancer and for children's hospitals and especially for the "Angel Tree" of Sub for Santa Program. She will be remembered by many for her heart of "Gold".She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Richard and Vilda Bridget and an infant son, Garth John Hindmarsh. She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Kay Prestwich (husband Ron) in Moroni, UT; Jill Luna (husband Robert) in Camarillo, CA; Brigitte Lyn Simmons (husband Craig) in South Jordan, UT; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Twitchell (husband Lynn) in Hurricane, UT; Susan Wilberg (husband Donald) in Loveland, CO; Vickie Bridget, Orem, UT; and a sister-in-law, Ethelyn Hindmarsh in St. George, UT.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 1997, at 2 p.m. in the Timpanogos Park 4th Ward Chapel, 935 North 300 East in Orem. Friends may call Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services under the direction of Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary of Orem.
