Ambulances and paramedics are seen next to a United Airlines Boeing 747 at Japan's Narita airport early today after the jet hit massive turbulence over the Pacific and returned to the airport. One woman was killed and more than 80 injured in the unexpected turbulence. United Flight 826 was en route to Honolulu at the time and returned to Narita about two hours later. The Kyodo news agency reported that the airplane suddenly dropped and passengers and flight attendants without seat belts crashed into the ceiling.
