In celebration of the great and wonderful life of LeRoy Collard, born on July 7, 1922, in Fountain Green, Utah, to William O. and Lew Gwenith Smith Collard. He married Kathryn Erickson on April 21, 1947.
Loving father of six children, Kathy, Brad, Ricki, Jan, Bart and Kelly. He died at home on Feb. 8, 1997, of cancer.He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Earl, Steve, Clyde, Joe, Bonnie and Betty; and grandchildren, Kimberlee, Candace, Jillian, Phillip, Christopher, Brian, Heidi, Shannon, Taylor, Lauren; sons-in-law, Cmdr. Charles S. Ormson, Michael Dervage and Chris Kirch; and daughter-in-law, Dru Collard and Debbie Collard.
A successful entrepreneur, Roy spent the last years of his life generating funding for cancer research and synthetic blood. Dad's greatest gift was in living life to the fullest. An avid fisherman, boater, singer, storyteller, humorist and best pal, he fought for life like the wiley trout he so joyfully pursued. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, February 12, 1997, in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
