The fractured relationship between Sharon Rufo and her daughter, Kim Goldman, was not healed by their joint victory in court against O.J. Simpson.

And Fred Goldman, Kim's father, is bitter that his ex-wife will share in the millions a jury awarded them.A jury on Feb. 4 found Simpson liable for the 1994 slayings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. The jury also awarded $33.5 million in damages.

"She was rewarded for having no relationship with her son whatsoever for a minimum of 17 years," Fred Goldman told Barbara Walters during a "20/20" interview to air Friday night.

Kim Goldman said: "She walked out. And that's the ultimate betrayal - to have a parent, that bond, the person that gave birth to you say, `I don't want to have anything to do with you."'

The rift between Rufo and the Goldmans was evident throughout the wrongful-death trial. They did not speak and would not even share the same row of seats in the courtroom.

Rufo's lawyer, Michael Brew-er, said the rancor should not affect how they split their $21 million award.

Nicole Simpson's estate - whose beneficiaries are the two children she had with Simpson - gets $12.5 million in punitive damages.

In the Walters interview, Fred Goldman also disclosed that a spectator at the trial offered him a high-powered rifle to kill Simpson and said, "If I didn't want to do it, he could get it done for me."

"It was a terrifying experience," Goldman said. His reaction was "to get away from this individual as quick as I could," he said.
