Our loving father, grandfather and brother, June Shiner Ellett, age 86, of Bicknell, died Feb. 11, 1997 in Richfield, Utah.

He was born June 8, 1910, in Teasdale, Utah, a son of Joseph Henry and Clara Bell Shiner Ellett. He married Irene Bullard, November 23, 1933 in Loa, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, Oct. 23, 1934. She died Dec. 10, 1995.June was a rancher, farmer and he herded sheep on Boulder Mountain and the Henry Mountains with his father-in-law, Eugene Bullard. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served in the Wayne Stake MIA, as counselor under two bishops and he was involved in the 70's Quorum. He and his wife, Irene, served a Temple Mission for two years at the Manti Temple. He conducted the LDS Church services at Fish Lake during one summer. He served as Sunday School superintendent in the Thurber Ward. He and his wife loved to square dance.

He is survived by his children: Warren and Peggy Ellett, Glendon Ellett, all of West Jordan; ReVon and Elva Ellett, St. George; Jerry and Sue Ellett, Bicknell; Nolan and Kay Ellett, Sandy; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister: J.A. Ellett, Bicknell; William Ellett, Smithfield; Fremon Ellett, Columbia and Edna Taylor, Provo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11-12:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the direction of the Springer-Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
