Milton Doyle Christensen, age 70, of Bountiful, died February 20, 1997, of cancer.

Milton was born March 26, 1926 in Hyde Park, Utah, to Junius Everrett Christensen and Vera Thurston. Married Josephine May Hamlin, in the Logan LDS Temple, July 16, 1956. He grew up on a farm in Dayton, Idaho. Attended schools in Dayton and Weston, ID. Graduated from Ontario High School, Ontario, Oregon. He served two tours of duty with the USMC aviation and engineering units. Received a BS from Brigham Young University in 1955 and a MS from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. He worked 29 years for the Salt Lake County Health Department as a senior microbiologist. He was an active member of the LDS Church.Survived by wife; sons, Eric, Alan, Dale, Gene; daughters, Linda Doxey and Carol Hall; 19 grandchildren; brothers, LaGrand, Ariel, Rulon; sisters, Beth Archibald, Wanda Child and Connie Christensen. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Dennis and sister, Adella.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb 25, 1997 at noon at the Bountiful Orchard Stake House, 3599 So. Orchard Dr. Friends may call Monday evening 7-8:30 p.m., Memorial Estates Cemetery Bountiful, and one hour prior to services. Burial, Memorial Estates Cemetery Bountiful, Utah (1640 East Lakeview Drive).
