W. Kent Weathers, born November 23, 1932, in Ogden, Utah, passed away February 21, 1997, in Orange, California. He was the son of Walter Arthur Weathers and Verda Margaret Bybee and grew up in Ogden, Utah.

Kent graduated from Ogden High School in 1951, Weber College in 1953, served in the U.S. Armed Services from 1953 to 1955, and graduated from the University of Utah in 1957 with a major in accounting. He obtained his CPA in 1963.He worked for 40 years in finance and real estate development. The past 25 years were spent working for the Lusk Company and controller and treasurer.

Kent married his sweetheart, Carol Lee Anderson, July 5, 1956.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of his greatest joys was serving, and he labored diligently as bishop and in the stake presidency in the Anaheim area.

Survived by his wife, Carol Lee Weathers; one brother, Val A. Weathers (Claudia) of Ogden, Utah; two sons, Mark Weathers (Jolyn) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dale Weathers (Roxayn) of Bountiful, Utah; two daughters, Joan Katz (Jeff) of Yorba Linda, and Dana Olsen (Roy) of Logan, Utah; 11 grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 11 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center in Anaheim Hills, 411 So. Fairmont. Funeral directors, Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary, Santa Ana, California, (714) 633-1442.
