Mae Hyde Hunt, 79, died February 23, 1997 in Bountiful from heart failure.

She was born in Metropolis, Nevada, October 17, 1917, a daughter of Heman Tilton and Ellen Maria Cook Hyde. She graduated from Elko County High School and served an LDS mission to California. She married Jacob Roscoe Hunt July 31, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home and raised their family in Centerville.As a member of the LDS Church, she served in many teaching and leadership positions. She was a temple worker for many years, and served a second mission with her husband in the Independence, Missouri Mission. She loved the gospel and shared her testimony avidly with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Centerville; five sons: Jake (Sandi) Centerville; Barry (Rebecca) Kaysville; Brian (Sandy) Centerville; Brent (Carri) Brigham City; Bruce (Karen) Kaysville; 22 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 1997 at 12 noon, at the Centerville Fourteenth Ward Chapel, 1298 North 400 West. Friends and family may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
