Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at a Church Educational System fireside Sunday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in Brigham Young University's Marriott Center.
The fireside, which is free to the public, will be rebroadcast March 16 on KBYU-FM (89.1) at 9 p.m. and on KBYU-TV (channel 11) at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m.Elder Holland was ordained a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on June 23, 1994. He also served on the First Quorum of the Seventy from April 1989 until his calling as an apostle.
He served as the ninth Brigham Young University president, LDS Church commissioner of education, dean of the College of Religious Education at BYU and instructor at several institutes of religion.
