Billy Ray Cyrus is mending achy breaky hearts with more than just his music.
The Billy Ray Cyrus Charities Foundation Inc. helps people in need in the singer's home state of Kentucky and in nearby West Virginia and Ohio. His father, Ron Cyrus, runs its day-to-day operations."He feels like it's a pleasure, almost an obligation, to repay people at home who have supported him through the years," Ron Cyrus said of his son.
Much of the foundation's work is with sick or abused children. The foundation, based in Flatwoods, Ky., has given Christmas presents to children who have none and provided wheelchairs for kids whose families could not afford them.
