Rudolph "Rudy" Sacco, Sr., age 69, loving husband of Bessie, died February 5, 1997, as a result of an automobile accident.

Born April 11, 1927 in Sunnyside, Utah, son of Rosario and Rosina Bonacci Sacco. Married Bessie Mathena in Helper. They recently celebrated 44 years of marriage. A member of the Catholic Church. Lifelong resident of Carbon County. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Retired employee of Carbon County Road Department with 34 years of dedicated service. Actively involved in livestock and ranching business in Carbon County with S-B Brothers Ranch. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and working alongside his family and friends. A proud father of nine children, Rudy instilled in them the value of a good work ethic to accomplish the better things of life. Rudy will be dearly missed by all, may his memory be eternal.Survived by wife, Bessie Sacco, Spring Glen; nine sons and daughters and their spouses: Rex and Debbie Sacco, Carbonville; Linda and Shelby Durfee, Price; Vic and Frankie Sacco, Price; Rudy and Gina Sacco, Wellington; Joe and Billie Sacco, Spring Glen; Janet Sacco and Jeff Stoddard, Elmo; Ross and Jayme Sacco, Price; Jeana and Cal Jensen, Cleveland; Albert and Becky Sacco, Spring Glen; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Louie, Vic and Albert Sacco, Spring Glen; Lena Kryscio and Sylvia Edwards. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers, Hugo, Richard and Ross, two sisters, Mary Stella and Minnie Lodeserto.

Funeral Mass Monday, February 10, 1997, 10 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service Sunday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Sunday and Monday prior to services. Committal service Mt. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 5 So. Main, Helper, Utah.
