Inger Margrethe Bukke Johansen died March 9, 1997 of heart failure.

Born: 31 October 1920 in Aalborg, Denmark. Parents: Arnold Justus Bukke and Marie Baltsersen, both deceased. Married: Christian Johansen 5 June 1995 in the Salt Lake Temple.Sister: Rita Bukke Bendixsen, deceased; brother: Arno Bukke, deceased; nieces: Brenda Bukke Coppa, Linda Bukke Frederickson; nephew: Steven Bendixsen

Inger joined the LDS Church April 30, 1938 in Aalborg and emigrated with her family to Utah in March 1949. She fulfilled a Mission in Denmark and was the Mission Leader of the MIA in Denmark. She was a mission Secretary to the Mission President Alma Petersen from 1947-1949. She was a worker and supervisor at the Genealogical Society, now the Family History Library for 36 1/2 years in Salt Lake City. She was on the Park Stake Genealogical Board for 10 years and an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 24 years. She was the coordinator and trainer for the Park Stake and controlled the Extraction Program from 1979-1988. She was a gospel doctrine teacher for about 15 years and captain of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers camp in the LeGrand ward for 4 years. She also worked at the Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum and was at the same time a member of the International Board (3 years). She also taught classes at many genealogical seminars at BYU.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the LeGrand Ward, 1078 So. McClelland, Salt Lake City, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
