Kevin Toth Finnegan, M.D., Ph.D., 46, of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Sterling, Illinois, died March 16, 1997.
He was born December 29, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas Lyman and Anne Toth Finnegan. He married Julieta Gabiola on July 21, 1984, in Palo Alto, California.He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. degree in 1973. He graduated from the University of Chicago with a Ph.D. and the University of Illinois Medical School with a M.D. in 1982 with honors. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at Stanford University Medical Center. He was an associate professor in psychiatry and pharmacology at the University of Utah Medical Center and the VA Medical Center.
Kevin was an opera singer and an avid outdoorsman. His commitment to his family was unparallelled. He was ful of life, humor and wisdom. With his courage and goodness, he had enriched the lives of those he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Julieta Gabiola; son, Sean R.; and daughter, Micaela A.; parents, Thomas L. and Anne T. Finnegan of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; brother. Dr. Thomas L. (Dianne) Finnegan of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; sisters, Dr. Alison (Dr. Richard Dennis) Finnegan of Chicago, Illinois; and Juliet A. (Alan Engbring) Finnegan of San Diego, Calif.; nephew, Patrick Finnegan; nieces, Maura and Kerry Finnegan and Kelly Engbring.

A Memoral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. Committal: Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "T" Street. Directors, Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary.
