Lee Biggs, 92 years of age, died Monday, 17 March 1997 at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray after a short illness.

Lee was born in Franklin, Idaho on 24 September 1904 to John Wright Biggs and Beulah Braley Biggs. He grew up and went to school in Franklin where he stayed until 1924 when he left, and went to Chicago, Illinois.Lee worked for Sears Roebuck and Company in Chicago for 22 years. At this time he was Mission President of the Northern States Mission in the 1930's in Chicago. While there he met and married Maxine Virginia Satchell on 2 August 1925. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Lee and his family left Chicago in 1940 and moved to Burley, Idaho. They then moved to Holladay, Utah in 1947 where he worked for Draper Poultry and Feed as a salesman, and Poultry Vet for many years. He also worked for Chester Fassio, at Fassio Poultry Farms in Herriman, Utah up to the time of his retirement in 1993.

He moved to Lehi, Utah where he lived from 1964 to 1971. He then moved to Bountiful, Utah; lived there from 1971 to 1990 at which time he moved to Draper after the death of his wife.

He lived in Draper from 1991 up to the time of his death.

Lee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which he held many various positions during his life. At the time of his death he was a High Priest in the Priesthood. Lee was very proud of his family and he spent many happy hours and times with them. He had many hobbies; he also enjoyed his flowers and garden. Lee loved sports; he liked the Chicago Cubs, the Utah Jazz, the University of the Utah, and BYU basketball teams.

Lee's best love was fly-fishing which he truly enjoyed up to 1992 when he could no longer fish. He also enjoyed the Biggs Family Reunions up in Franklin, Idaho.

Lee is preceded in death by his eternal companion, Maxine, two children, his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors are a son, John Phillip (Ruth) Biggs of DeWitt, New York; Maren Lynn (Stanley) Jensen of Bountiful, Utah; and Paul Kay (Patricia) Biggs of Draper, Utah. Lee also had seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and viewing will be held Friday, 21 March 1997 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful--viewing at 10 a.m., funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Franklin City Cemetery, Franklin, Idaho.
