Bad reviews don't bother director David Lynch. After reading harsh criticism of his surrealistic new film "Lost Highway," the offbeat filmmaker Lynch decided to advertise them.

Splashed across one newspaper ad were the words "Two Thumbs Down!" from Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, and a response calling the judgment "Two More Great Reasons to See . . ." the film."My rule of thumb is, what Siskel and Ebert like, I don't, and vice versa," Lynch told Entertainment Weekly. "They're getting too warm in those sweaters. It's affecting their thinking."
