Dates, new themes and admission prices have been announced for boys who plan to attend Cub Country camps in Mill Creek Canyon.
Themes for the camps, which run from Saturday, June 21, through Saturday, Aug. 16, are: Fort Liberty, Camp Mission Possible, Indy's Lost City, North to Alaska, Wild Kingdom, Twilight Camps, Camp Abracadabra (the Webelos resident camp) and Webelos Challenge Camps (one-day, two-day and overnight).The cost is $9.25 per boy if paid before Wednesday, April 30, and $10.50 after that date. Adults will be charged $2. Two adults are required to attend with a group of boys.
Camp highlights include crafts, games, BB guns, animals, swimming, archery, hiking, an obstacle course, races, leatherwork, candlemaking and wrist rockets.
The camp fee may be paid at the Great Salt Lake Council Service Center, 525 Foothill Drive. The center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Registrations also will be accepted at the South Valley Scout Shop, 648 E. 9400 South, in Sandy, which is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays; 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; and 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays.
