After living a full and rich life, Roberta Flora Robbins our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, returned home to Heavenly Father on March 7, 1997 at the age of 83.
Roberta was born on November 22, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bert and Elmea Flora. She married Clarence Robbins on May 6, 1933, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active church member serving various ward and stake callings.Her gifted hands were evidenced in her gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cooking skills she shared with so many. Her life was characterized by compassionate service, hard work and love for her husband, family and friends. Her many joys included their mountain cabin with all its inherent beauties, square dancing, love of flowers and travel.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Clarence; son, Gilbert (Annette) Robbins; daughter, LaRae (Robert) Sansom, all of Salt Lake City; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Beverly) Flora, Salina, Utah; sisters, Wanda (Charles) Price, Pleasant Grove, Utah and LaPriel (Jack) Martin, Sun City, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 11, 1997 in the Belvedere Ward Chapel, 607 East Downington Avenue (1820 South). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
The family expresses appreciation for the loving care provided by St. Mark's Heart Center and the University of Utah Hospital.
