Penny Lee Schroeder, 12, of Ephraim passed away Friday, April 18, 1997 as a result of an accident.
Penny will be greatly missed. She was a friend to everyone she met and was able to love even those who were unkind to her. Life was an exciting journey for Penny. She was able to beat Leukemia at age 5. She was like an Angel to all of us.She was born under the covenant, Sept 4, 1984 to Laura and Bob Schroeder in Salt Lake City. She was educated in schools at Crest View Elementary in Sandy, UT, and was an Honor student at Ephraim Middle School. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her mother, Laura (Keith) Brotherson of Ephraim; father, Robert (Connie) Schroeder of Salt Lake City; her sisters, Amy, Thora and Lois; also her stepsisters, Elisha, Kimberly and Kelly; stepbrother, Kyle; grandparents, Rex and Thora Behling of Payson, Utah currently serving a mission in Western Samoa; Lewis Robert and Marlene Schroeder, Mary Louise and Charlie Lowrey, and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, Shalene Crosland and Lauren Reeveley. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Lois Balhorn.
Penny is a living example of true love. No one loved more, lived more, or was loved by others more. She touched the lives of everyone who met her. Her love for life was abundant. She had courage, faith, and an unshakable testimony. Till we meet again, Penny. We will miss you! We love you!
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Ephraim First Ward meeting house (10 South Main). Friends and family may call Tuesday, April 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the First Ward meeting house (10 South Main) and Wednesday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery (805 East 400 North). Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
