Reese Allen Hansen, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away quietly Thursday, April 24, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Reese was born August 21, 1930 in Ferron, Utah to Robert Leslie Hansen and Frances Ivella Rhodes Hansen.He married Arlene Patricia Masters, May 18, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Active member of the LDS Church in the Grant 7th Ward.

Reese served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Oceanside, California, in Headquarters Company. After an honorable discharge he came back to Salt Lake. He began working for Mountain Bell in February 1955 and retired in 1986.

Survived by a son, Jeffrey Allen ( Peggy) Hansen, St. George, UT; and a daughter, Elaine Patricia Hansen, Salt Lake City; three grandson's, Shane, Cole, Reese, and four granddaughters, Melinda, Tyree, Alexis and Haleigh; two great-grandsons, Dakota and Colton; two brothers, Don (Raelene) Hansen, Orem, UT; Ray (Carolyn) Hansen, West Valley City, UT; sister, Irene (Roger) Brown, Provo, UT. Preceded in death by his mother; father; two brothers, Leo and Robert.

Reese was loved, admired and will be remembered by all who knew him, his dear family members, extended family members, the many friends from Mountain Bell and the friends of the Grant 7th Ward and neighborhood.

He loved music and playing his guitar, the great outdoors, camping, and traveling.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 1997 at 12 noon at the Grant 7th Ward, 3487 South 1300 East. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East in Sandy and from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the ward. Interment Wasatch Lawn.
