Marian Fay Burr Bird, age 69, passed away April 29, 1997.
She was born December 26, 1927, to Arthur E. Burr and Mary Alice Lord. Raised in Riverton, Utah. Married Jesse Allmendinger, Nov 13, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died March 1948. Married LeRoy J. Bird, April 6, 1949.Marian worked at Beehive Clothing and was a homemaker. Active member of LDS Church as a singing mother, Primary president, Scout leader, Relief Society board member, and good neighbor and friend to all. Marian enjoyed sewing, quilting, and loved her grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank all who have helped her in the battle with cancer. Doctors, nurses, friends, neighbors, and family, please know that your love and help have been greatly appreciated.
Survived by husband, Leroy J. Bird; children, Arthur (Edith); Jim (Tami); Susan Gayler (Brian), MO; Ursula Davies (Paul); Mary France; brothers, Arthur Burr, Roy Burr, and sister, Lenna Wagstaff. 24 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one grandson.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Kearns Utah East Stake, 4300 West 4715 South. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery. Funeral director, Deseret Memorial Mortuary.
