David Craig (Oscar) Meyer, 51, died May 9, 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 22, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Herman Louis (Bud) and Edna Coon Meyer. He married Charlette Crafts January 20, 1968 in Magna, Utah, later divorced.He worked for Kennecott Copper for 28 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, and playing softball. His family and friends meant so much to him. He was always concerned about others. He was the most loving and caring man and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his family: Charlette Meyer; children, Clay Meyer, Clint Meyer, and Cari
(Brian) Horrocks; two granddaughters, Qyncee and special pardner Whitnee; brother and sisters, Margie (Ray) McCollum, Jeanne (Bob)
Hubbard, and Duane (JoAnn) Riley, and many friends and family.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Salt Lake International Airport staff and especially the shuttle base for their help and support.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 1997 11 a.m. at the Spencer 3rd Ward, 8181 W. 3320 S. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. Magna, and Wednesday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
