Gary Dale Chandler, age 42, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, in Salt Lake City, Utah of heart failure.
He was born March 23, 1955, in Calhoun County, Alabama. The son of Joseph and Sara Scoggins Chandler. Married Jolene Lowe, later divorced. Married Linda Zumaeta. Although later divorced, their love for each other remained.Gary was the proud owner of Great Basin Pest Control, a successful company he started in 1989. His big smile and hearty chuckle were contagious. He loved to discuss sports, travel, politics and religion. A truly great friend, business associate, and a family man. He will be remembered for his love, kindness, and generosity. Gary will be missed during the holidays and especially on Super Bowl Sundays.
Gary is survived by Linda Chandler and step-sons, Morgan and Nick. A sister, Pam (Roger) Graben, Alabama, niece and nephew; brother, Craig Chandler, Georgia. And by his "Utah" family, Patrick and Maile Evans, Bob Hutchings, Jen and Paul Spencer, April, Loni, Chad, Kyle and his "girlfriend" Anna. Preceded in death by parents.
A gathering will be held at the home of Pat and Maile Evans on Tuesday, may 20,1 997 form 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 6782 South 2485 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. A short memorial will be at 7:30 p.m. We invite all who knew Gary to attend. Interment in Rome, Georgia.
