Bertha Emond Dyer passed away May 24, 1997.

Born October 12, 1898, in Amsterdam, Holland, to Jan and Meintje deHaan Emond. Emigrated to the U.S. in 1900. Married Ralph Walsh Dyer on February 28, 1923, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died on July 29, 1957.She worked as a Pink Lady volunteer for 21 years at St. Marks Hospital. Through her lifetime, she taught in the YWMIA and Primary, sand in ward choirs and was active in Relief Society.

Survivors: daughter, Virginia Dyer of Palm Springs, CA; son-in-law, Verl Burt, and daughter-in-law, Donna Dyer, both of Salt Lake City. She was also affectionately called "Nanny" by 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by daughter, Joyce Burt; son, Gene Dyer; grandson, Kevin Burt; a brother and three sisters.

Funeral services Wednesday, May 28, 1997, 12 noon at Bryan Ward Chapel, 1621 South 1100 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wednesday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
